I had a lot of fun experimenting with background and colour for this week’s photo; I started with a completely different fairy figurine – I collect them, see – but she was not a very cooperative subject. In fact, I found that, like the fairies they are, each of my figurines would not photograph with the flash on, leaving a more difficult situation to find a way of a clearer background for without-flash pictures.
The specific photo I have chosen here has a softer filter to blend the background better. This also brought out the fairy’s eyes and the lighter colours of her dress and wings.
